KANSAS CITY'S #1 COMPLEX FOR SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

ENTERTAINMENT BOOKING

Located in Kansas City’s Historic West Bottoms, Hy-Vee Arena is the Nation’s first multi-level, multi-functional complex. Five decades ago, in a stunningly brief period of years, Kansas City built major public structures for air travelers, conventioneers and sports fans. One of these structures was Kemper Arena.

Kemper Arena was at various times home to a national political convention, an NHL team, an NBA team, college basketball tournaments and rock and country shows.

With the city growing and expanding the once thriving facility needed an upgrade to compete in the current market to host future attractions. In 2014, developer Foutch Brothers proposed splitting Kemper Arena into two levels for youth sports tournaments and other live entertainment use.

Located in Kansas City’s Historic West Bottoms, the new Hy-Vee Arena is the Nation’s first multi-level, multi-functional complex. Two separate floors house 12 hardwood maple courts, dining, businesses, and retail space that offer an unparalleled experience. That’s over 82,000 square feet of column free space.

With the new capabilties of the multifaceted arena, the new Hy-Vee Arena can host music and comedy shows of all sizes.
